Heat pump
In these water heating services, the heating pumps extracts heat from its environment. These pumps extract heat from objects and environment having a higher temperature and transfer this heat to the water stored in the tank and warms the water. The pumps functions like a fridge but in reverse nature. Ambient air flow is used to heat a refrigerant, which then converts into gas. The gas is then compressed, releases heat, which is then transferred to the water. The refrigerant is expanded back to a liquid and the cycle repeats itself.

The cost of using a heat pump may be large if it is required to function its compressor on higher price electricity tariffs or function an electric booster. Electricity tariffs are different across different areas, and some water heater models are more suitable to operate under restricted tariff hours. Solar
Solar hot water systems use roof mounted solar collectors on your roof to absorb solar energy to heat water which then flows to a storage tank. The two common types of solar collector are flat plate and evacuated tubes. Flat plate units are mostly common and well proven. Evacuated tubes perform more efficiently in cold climates.

Electricity can be used in heating system. Households or commercial establishments are permitted to use electric pumps as boosters. 3-phase electricity supply is mostly needed for instant systems but new systems under-development be used for single phase supplies. These systems use instruments called geysers and consume huge amount of electricity to heat the water. These are the most commonly used hot water service agents.
